Live-in participation

All our Catholic Worker houses and projects need volunteers and community members-

  1. full time, live in, Community Members (minimum one year commitment)
  2. full time, live in, Volunteer Members/ Interns (from a few days up)
  3. part time volunteers helping out with particular aspects of our work

Please contact the relevant house for more information about how to join in with our life and work, and about our volunteer opportunities.

Other ways of participating

London Catholic Worker community study dayOur projects - Guiseppe Conlon House, the LCW farm, the Community Cafe, and the Urban Table - also act as a base for a dispersed London Catholic Worker Group; these are folks who are involved in the full vision of the Catholic Worker, but are not able to make the commitment to live full-time in one of the Houses.

Donations

If you can't contribute your time to the LCW, then you may be able to make some practical contributions. Suggested items are below.

Food: Dry goods, rice, pasta, instant coffee, tea bags, tuna & corned beef, sugar & salt & pepper, tinned tomatoes & fruit juice, cheese and eggs, breakfast cereals.

Other: Handy(wo)man, plumber, electrician, soap, shampoo & all toiletries, cleaning materials & equipment, football boots and kit.

Office: Book keeper, help with producing and sending out newsletters.

Other items: Bike locks & bike lights, single sheets and single duvet covers, paint for walls.
